Philips Expands AI-Enabled Portfolio of Imaging Technologies
This year at RSNA, Philips is highlighting its growing portfolio of AI-enabled diagnostic systems.
During the show, the company launched the new MR 5300 1.5T system, Philips’ latest BlueSeal fully sealed helium-free MR scanner. Powered by AI, the MR 5300 simplifies and automates complex clinical and operational tasks for outpatient clinical use and MR departments to help increase access to affordable, quality care, driving consistent quality and sustainability for outpatient clinic and MR departments.
In addition, the new MR 7700 3.0T system* integrated with multinuclear clinical capabilities is designed to deliver highest quality diffusion imaging and advanced neuroscience sequences, giving clinical researchers the confidence to explore new imaging pathways.
“The MR 7700 is a high-end clinical and research machine that allows clinicians to switch out of the box from neuroscience research to clinical applications. One minute you can do research, the next minute you can do a clinical exam,” said Arjen Radder, Business Leader MRI-DXR-OEM Components.
Also debuting at RSNA 2021 is Philips’ new MR Workspace with AI assistance, designed to simplify the path from image acquisition to diagnosis and empower technologists – regardless of their experience or patient challenges – to drive productivity and predictability. “This is the radiologist’s engine for quality and productivity,” said Radder.
Philips is also launching its new SmartSpeed* reconstruction platform, designed to support the latest AI innovations. It’s powered by leading Compressed SENSE speed engine and award-winning AI technology** to support 97% of clinical protocols.
The company is expanding its AI-enabled CT portfolio with the new CT 5100 – Incisive – with CT Smart Workflow. AI-enabled Smart Workflow is designed to streamline image acquisition and workflows, enabling more patient-centric care.
“The 5100 – Incisive – brings AI applications to every step of the CT workflow, making it a smart and efficient system,” said Devon Schweizer, Business Marketing Manager CT/AMI. “It helps reduce dose, increase speed, and accelerate the technologists’ workflow, which can help departments add up to seven patients per day.”
Expanding its leadership portfolio in image-guided therapy, Philips is previewing the world’s first spectral detector angio-CT solution combining the company’s unique Spectral CT 7500 system* and its Image-Guided Therapy System – Azurion with FlexArm in a single interventional suite solution. It aims to give interventionalists immediate table-side access to these two key imaging modalities so they can perform procedures requiring both CT and angio guidance in one room.
