VIDA Previews AI-Powered Lung Imaging Analytics Solution

With a focus on pulmonary imaging analytics, VIDA Diagnostics, announcing the launch of LungPrint® Discovery, an innovative AI-powered lung analysis solution that promises to empower radiologists with fully automatic lung quantification and significant boosts in reading efficiency.

LungPrint Discovery features Hyperion View, the company’s patent-pending airway visualization tool that has the potential to significantly accelerate airway reading and interpreting the complex airway anatomy. Traditional imaging techniques often don’t provide a full view of the airways. Hyperion View includes most airways in a single view to help radiologists shave minutes off each read.

“With the complexity of the airways and the increasing sophistication of scanners, radiologists are challenged to review complex reconstructions of airway trees that are nearly impossible to look at in consecutive 2D slices. And when you look at them in 3D, you lose the context of information in and around those airways,” said Susan A. Wood, PhD, CEO of VIDA. “What Hyperion View does is takes those complex structures and puts them into context to help radiologists be much more efficient in these complicated, time-consuming reads.”

Developed by radiologists, for radiologists, LungPrint Discovery provides fully-automatic quantification of lung physiology and function, including both tissue and airway analysis.
