Guerbet highlights microcatheter at ECIO
Guerbet highlighted an anti-reflux microcatheter used for embolization procedures on vascular tumors or aneurysms at the European Conference on Interventional Oncology (ECIO) held in Vienna this month. The Accurate microcatheter enables more embolization microparticles to be administered in the target area, while preventing their reflux upstream to the arteries irrigating healthy tissues.
This microcatheter completes a range of standard microcatheters designed and developed to offer interventional radiologists optimized intra-arterial navigation even in cases of tortuous vascularity and difficult-to-access lesions, according to the Villepinte, France-headquartered company. The Accurate microcatheter is awaiting CE Mark approval but has received clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
