FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, a leader in endoscopic imaging and surgical solutions and the pioneer of LED multi-light technology in the U.S., has unveiled its latest innovation — the ELUXEO® 8000 Endoscopic Imaging System. This advanced single-unit processor and light source (EP-8000) is engineered to elevate image quality, therapeutic performance, and workflow efficiency. The new platform will be showcased at the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting, taking place from October 26–28 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona.

The ELUXEO 8000 System introduces a new level of endoscopic visualization, offering 4K resolution, triple noise reduction (3NR), and an extended dynamic range. Together, these enhancements minimize glare, sharpen image detail, and optimize brightness across both near and far viewing fields. Building on the company’s hallmark LED multi-light technology from its original ELUXEO system, this next-generation model debuts a new Amber-Red Color Imaging (ACI) mode.

In addition to Fujifilm’s established Linked Color Imaging (LCI®) and Blue Light Imaging (BLI) modes—which aid in polyp detection and tissue characterization—ACI is designed to improve visualization of bleeding sources and submucosal blood vessels. This capability supports noninvasive third-space endoscopic procedures. Clinicians can easily toggle between all three modes during procedures.

We are steadfast in our commitment to advance the field of endoscopy with innovations that empower GI physicians to safely and efficiently accomplish even the most challenging procedures with the best possible outcomes,” says Tai Fujita, vice president, Endoscopy Division, FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation. “The ELUXEO 8000 System is our latest testament in how Fujifilm is taking endoscopic imaging to new heights. In addition to exceptional imaging for optimal detection and diagnosis, we’ve developed a new light mode designed specifically to support clinicians during challenging procedures.

A key advantage of the new system is its broad compatibility. The ELUXEO 8000 works seamlessly with Fujifilm’s 500-, 600-, 700-, and 800-series diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopes—including bronchoscopes. This wide compatibility marks a shift from the industry norm of pairing new processors with new scopes, offering a more cost-effective and adaptable solution for healthcare providers.

The company’s next-generation 800-Series endoscopes are equipped with intelligent CMOS Image Sensor technology. Among them are seven FDA-cleared gastroscopes and colonoscopes, including the EG-840T treatment gastroscope, EG-840TP slim treatment gastroscope for upper GI procedures, and the EN-840T Double Balloon Enteroscopy (DBE) Scope, which provides access to the full small intestine for both diagnostic and therapeutic use. These devices are also compatible with Fujifilm’s earlier ELUXEO® 7000 System.

Fujifilm has already established a high standard for endoscopic image processing with the ELUXEO system, and the new EP-8000 Processor delivers meaningful advancement in overall image clarity, along with exciting new features like ACI (Amber-red Color Imaging),” said Hiroyuki Aihara, M.D., Ph.D., director, endoscopic tissue resection, Brigham and Women’s Hospital. “By emphasizing color contrast and structural detail, this new observation mode improves visual recognition of tissue layers and blood vessels when working in the submucosal space. Visualization of these structures is critical for safe and successful completion of ESD and other Third Space procedures, making ACI a very relevant advancement in the field of advanced therapeutic endoscopy.

Fujifilm will demonstrate the ELUXEO 8000 System and all seven FDA 510(k)-cleared 800-Series endoscopes at ACG Booth #1234.
