At the American College of Cardiology 2025 meeting, GE HealthCare introduced Revolution Vibe, a new computed tomography (CT) system designed to improve access to high-quality cardiac imaging, even in patients with challenging conditions. The system features Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac imaging, enhanced AI-powered workflow tools, and advanced reconstruction technologies to deliver consistent, precise results across a wide range of cases.

Cardiovascular disease continues to rise worldwide, making early and accurate diagnosis a critical priority. Cardiac CT angiography (CCTA) has emerged as a non-invasive, cost-effective, and highly sensitive method for diagnosing coronary artery disease. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) already recommends CCTA as the first-line test for patients with suspected CAD, while recent Medicare reimbursement increases have improved its accessibility in the U.S.

“Expanding access to CCTA is crucial for managing the rising prevalence of CVD, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses for a larger patient population,” said Jean-Luc Procaccini, President and CEO of Molecular Imaging and Computed Tomography at GE HealthCare. “Our introduction of Revolution Vibe underscores our commitment to this mission. The system is designed to encourage the broader adoption of and access to cardiac imaging, combining advanced technology with AI-powered solutions to deliver fast, accurate diagnoses and a more comfortable patient experience.”

Revolution Vibe was specifically engineered to handle difficult cardiac exams—including irregular heart rhythms, heavily calcified arteries, stents, bypass grafts, and patients with poor cooperation or breath-holding difficulties. Traditionally, these challenges often lead to repeat scans, higher costs, and reduced diagnostic accuracy. Revolution Vibe addresses these issues with a combination of advanced imaging features and AI-driven workflow support.

Among its key innovations are:

  • Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac imaging, providing full-heart scans at low dose, even in patients with atrial fibrillation or without an ECG trace.

  • TrueFidelity DL and SnapShot Freeze 2, delivering motion-free, high-quality images.

  • ECG-less Cardiac, allowing exams without ECG connection, simplifying preparation and improving access when time is critical.

  • Effortless Cardiac Workflow, an AI-driven automation system that selects protocols and positions patients, cutting exam time by 50 percent and reducing preparation time by up to five minutes per scan.

Early adopters report substantial improvements in efficiency. “Revolution Vibe has significantly enhanced our cardiac imaging capabilities, doubling our CCTA capacity while reducing scan times and improving image quality,” said Dr. Christopher Ahlers, Radiologist and Managing Partner at Radiomed. He added that the system streamlines workflows, reduces reliance on invasive testing, and increases both diagnostic confidence and patient satisfaction.

For healthcare facilities, Revolution Vibe not only expands service offerings but also supports cost efficiency. Its energy-efficient design, fleet management tools, extensive training, and Smart Subscription model ensure institutions remain current with the latest updates while managing lifecycle costs.

GE HealthCare will showcase Revolution Vibe at the ACC 2025 meeting in Chicago, offering attendees an opportunity to see how the platform combines advanced cardiac CT solutions, intelligent automation, and operational versatility to meet the growing demand for cardiovascular imaging.
