Applied Radiology is proud to announce that two of our long-standing Advisory Board members are Minnie 2020 semifinalists: Lawrence N. Tanenbaum, MD, FACR, for “Most Influential Radiology Researcher” and Elliot K. Fishman, MD, for “Best Educational Mobile App” (CTisus iQuiz, iOS).
Dr. Tanenbaum is associate editor of the AR Advisory Board Artificial Intelligence Section, and is vice president and CTO at RadNet. Previously, he was an associate professor of radiology and director of MRI/CT & Outpatient / Advanced Imaging Development at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He has held numerous leadership roles with professional imaging societies, has authored approximately 100 scholarly and peer reviewed articles, and has presented more than 1,500 lectures internationally. Dr. Tanenbaum also recently presented the AR webinar "The Value of Performance: Preparing for Imaging Demand in the 'New Normal'" available on demand.
Dr. Fishman is a veteran member of the AR Advisory Board Body Imaging Section. He is director of Diagnostic Imaging and Body CT in the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science, and professor of radiology, surgery, urology, and oncology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Fishman is co-founder of HipGraphics Inc, a 3D software development company, and a co-principal investigator of the Felix Project for Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer. His work in CT has resulted in more than 1,300 peer-reviewed publications, and he is co-author of 10 textbooks. He developed www.CTisus.com and he and his team have developed 16 programs for the iPad and eight for the iPhone Apple Store.
