RSNA 2020: Agfa HealthCare launches new AI solution for X-ray Digital Radiography (DR) portfolio

This week Agfa HealthCare launched its new SmartXR® for X-ray Artificial Intelligence (AI). (SmartXR is not yet commercially available in all countries.)

With its unique combination of hardware and AI-powered software, SmartXR’s predictive workflow assistance lightens radiographers’ workloads and provides image acquisition support. Intelligent tools for dose, detector alignment, patient positioning and more support efficient and consistent outcomes, while leaving the radiographer in control. This newest member of Agfa’s DR portfolio offers key assistance during the radiology routine, which has proven important during the COVID-19 crisis.

The SmartXR tools are currently available to upgrade the DR 600 high-productivity, fully automated X-ray room and the DR 100s high-productivity, ergonomic, mobile DR imaging solution, for comfortable bedside imaging.

Agfa is also introducing RUBEE™ for AI, which enables hospitals to embed best-in-class AI to their Enterprise Imaging ecosystem. The evidence-based, specialty-focused clinical packages offer smart tools and advanced visualizations, workflow automation and decision support.

The Breast AI package provides powerful tools for cancer risk-based triage, along with natively embedded CAD AI Visualizations and advanced 2D/3D mammography tools. The CT Lung AI package improves visualization of nodules and comparisons enables sorting and triage, and smart display of AI findings.
