Konica Minolta Healthcare Launches Cloud-Based Teleradiology Solution with NewVue
Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas, Inc., a recognized leader in imaging and healthcare IT, has partnered with NewVue, a top provider of intelligent, cloud-native radiology workflow platforms, to introduce Exa® Teleradiology, Powered by NewVue. This solution is tailored to meet the complex needs of contemporary teleradiology groups. Purpose-built for distributed reading environments, Exa Teleradiology enhances the reading experience across various systems and facilities—including imaging centers—through a single cloud-based platform that delivers deeper integration than conventional interfaced systems.
The system includes an AI-enabled Radiology Workflow Orchestrator that surpasses the limitations of older, rules-based workflows. It dynamically curates worklists and standardizes data, significantly reducing the manual workload for radiology professionals and easing the burden on IT teams who no longer need to manage worklist rules. Its integrated viewer leverages Server-Side Rendering for high-speed image viewing and supports advanced visualization, including full 3D image reconstruction and segmentation. By combining these elements, Exa Teleradiology, Powered by NewVue, is engineered to simplify the reading process with a unified user interface, offering all necessary tools and features from a single workstation.
As a cloud-native platform, Exa Teleradiology streamlines the radiologist's desktop environment while ensuring quick and efficient access to critical study data, viewing tools, and reporting functions. It incorporates an AI-enhanced intelligent worklist, a Radiologist Cockpit, a zero-footprint viewer, and a full set of quality workflows. These include peer review, discrepancy management, critical results reporting, and technologist quality improvement (Tech QI).
“In partnership with NewVue, we will deliver an expanded, cloud-first imaging solution that is built to meet the demands of modern teleradiology with unmatched workflow orchestration, performance and clinical value,” said Kevin Chlopecki, Chief Operating Officer, Konica Minolta Healthcare HCIT. “We are jointly collaborating on a unique offering that enhances the radiologist’s experience with a consolidated Radiologist Cockpit designed for productivity and ease-of-use in teleradiology settings.”
“By integrating with Konica Minolta, we’re giving teleradiology groups a smarter desktop that helps combat burnout and staffing shortages,” said Kyle Lawton, Co-founder and CEO of NewVue. “Radiologists get a faster, more intuitive workspace—making it easier for practices to attract, retain and empower top talent.”
