Guerbet to Provide 100 AI Scholarships

Guerbet has announced a partnership with the American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (ABAIM), to provide 100 educational scholarships to ABAIM’s AI in Medicine Review Course for clinicians, as well as college and high school students interested in AI.

“We are proud to be the founding sponsor of the American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine,” said Tom McLaughlin, Vice President North American at Guerbet. “We feel strongly that technology in health care improves patient outcomes and provides medical professionals with additional tools and resources to further advance medicine in their respective fields.”

Providing these scholarships, the company says, underscores its dedication to continued learning and the furthering of digital and AI solutions in healthcare the company stated in an announcement. In 2018 it forged a strategic partnership with IBM Watson Health to support liver cancer diagnostics, utilizing CT and MRI imaging, and care. According to the company, Guerbet also spends 10% of its annual revenue on continuing innovation, education, as well as R&D.
