FUJIFILM Sonosite Unveils Sonosite MT, a New Portable Ultrasound System Designed for High-Mobility, High-Performance Care
FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc., a global leader in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), has announced the launch of its newest portable imaging system, the Sonosite MT, designed to deliver robust clinical performance in a highly mobile, user-friendly format. The device joins Sonosite’s growing family of ultrasound systems—including the PX, LX, and ST—continuing the company’s commitment to durable, intuitive tools that elevate care across clinical environments.
Built for speed, mobility, and versatility, the Sonosite MT introduces a “Grab and Go” clamshell design that allows clinicians to use the device seamlessly both on and off the stand. The system’s compact footprint and lightweight build are matched by an intuitive all-touch interface, featuring a buttonless monitor and control panel optimized for quick cleaning and infection control—a critical consideration in modern healthcare environments.
“At FUJIFILM Sonosite, our mission is to empower clinicians with ultrasound systems that perform reliably in the most demanding clinical settings. Sonosite MT exemplifies this mission by integrating our core product pillars: durability, reliability, and ease of use,” said Richard Fabian, president and chief executive officer of FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. “This new system continues our journey of excellence, providing a portable ultrasound platform that supports both clinical confidence and operational efficiency.”
The Sonosite MT is engineered to perform under pressure. Its rugged construction is built to withstand the physical demands of emergency departments, intensive care units, and other high-acuity environments where uptime and resilience are essential. The system delivers high-resolution imaging for diverse patient types, enabling accurate diagnoses at the bedside or in transit.
Additional features include interoperability with Synapse Synchronicity™, FUJIFILM’s workflow manager, which enhances data integration, image sharing, and clinical documentation. With its streamlined design and harmonized interface, Sonosite MT also facilitates training and adoption across healthcare teams already familiar with the Sonosite portfolio.
Infection control and risk mitigation were central to the system’s design. The all-touch, sealed control panel enables thorough disinfection between uses, aligning with stringent clinical hygiene protocols without sacrificing usability.
With the launch of Sonosite MT, FUJIFILM Sonosite continues to set the standard in point-of-care ultrasound, equipping healthcare providers with tools that combine innovation, practicality, and reliability to improve patient outcomes in fast-paced clinical settings.
