Candelis launches new breast imaging workstation

Candelis has launched its Advanced Breast Imaging Workstation as an enhancement to its ImageGrid platform. The Newport Beach, CA-headquartered company said that the workstation now supports viewing supports viewing and analysis of three-dimensional (3D) breast ultrasound images acquired by GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers, Hitachi, and iVu, as well as supporting mammographic and tomosynthesis images from Hologic, GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers, Fuji Medical, Planmed, and Giotto.

The advanced features of enhanced mammography prefetching tools include retrieval of prior studies from multiple PACS systems, ensuring consistence between current and prior patient studies, delivery of prior studies to the workstation during non-peak hours, caching exams on the workstation to minimizing fetching activities during reading, prerendering prior exams for visualization resulting in quicker reading of studies, delivery of both current and prior exams simultaneously to workstation along with notification of availability for reading.
