Sectra adds Microsoft Azure cloud-based products to its portfolio

Medical imaging information technology and cybesecurity company Sectra announced that it is offering cloud-based products powered by Microsoft Azure to customers in the United States. The announcement was made at HIMSS18,the annual meeting of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society held in Las Vegas in early March.

Sectra PACS, Sectra VNA, and Setra DoseTrack for radiation dose monitoring are currently available as Azure cloud services. The company stated that solutions for cross-enterprising sharing and collaboration of medical images, disaster recovery services, proactive system monitoring support, and educational portals can also be deliver through Microsoft’s Azure.

The Shelton, CT- U.S. headquarters-based company stated that it plans to add support for pathology and cardiology. It also will develop tighter integration with Azure for rapid delivery of Sectra’s imaging software.
