Hitachi’s Supria® True64 CT cleared by FDA

Hitachi Healthcare Americas, Inc. announced that it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance to market its Supria® True64 Computed Tomography System, the premier model within Hitachi’s Supria compact CT family.

The Supria True64 is a very compact, economical and clinically versatile CT with 64 discrete detector and electronics processing channels to provide rapid thin 64-slice imaging across its full 40mm detector coverage. Its compact footprint combines enhanced patient access with an elarged 75 cm aperture and standard 500 pound weight capacity table.

Hitachi said that the Supria True64 also emphasizes enhanced workflow capabilities and is XR-29 Smart Dose compliant. It adds a new environmental efficiency feature “Eco-Mode” that reduces power consumption by up to 55% during idle periods.
