Growing in Leaps and Bounds

By Schwartz ES

I am particularly thrilled to share that we have a new Medical Physics section on our editorial advisory board. Physics is the underpinning for all of radiology, and we welcome this important collaboration. Our new physicist colleagues have been chosen for their expertise in radiography, CT, MR, quality and safety, and artificial intelligence. The section is led by our new Associate Editor, Mahadevappa Mahesh, MS, PhD, FAAPM, FACR, FACMP, FSCCT, FIOMP. Dr Mahesh is a Professor of Radiology and Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. The section members include:

• David W Jordan, PhD, FAAPM, Associate Professor of Radiology, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio;

• Rebecca M Marsh, PhD, Associate Professor of Radiology, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Boulder, Colorado; and

• William Sensakovic, PhD, Senior Associate – Imaging Physics, Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, Arizona.

We also have a new Associate Editor for neuroradiology, our board member Wende N Gibbs, MD. She is well known in neuroradiology and spine imaging, and I am delighted that she has agreed to take on this additional responsibility.

Please also join me in welcoming these new members of the editorial advisory board:

• Pradnya Y Mhatre, MD, MRMD (MRSC), Assistant Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Division of Abdominal Imaging, Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, in our Advocacy/Governmental Affairs section;

• Nina S Vincoff, MD, Radiology Vice Chair for Patient Experience; Breast Imaging Division Chief, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York, in our Breast Imaging section; and,

• Vahe M Zohrabian, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York, in our Emergency Radiology section.

We believe you will also appreciate our updated layout for articles, columns, and cases. This is the final piece of our 50th anniversary rebranding. The revised format looks refreshed and cleaner. We think it is easier to read the great content, too. Please let me know what you think.

I wish all of you a happy, healthy, and safe summer. May these difficult times soon be behind us.
