FUJIFILM introduces wide bore CT at ASTRO 2018

FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. introduced a 85 cm wide bore computed tomography (CT) system in 64 and 128 slice configurations at the annual meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) held last month in San Antonio, TX. The FCT Embrace has an easy-to-use, standardized platform optimized for both radiology and oncology applications.

The system offers enhanced CT simulation with radiation therapy treatment planning capabilities. Its 85 cm bore optimally matches the rotational arc of a linear accelerator, offering easy and precise positioning options for simulation and planning, according to the Stamford, CT- headquartered company.

Its 49 cm tabletop accommodates bariatric patients up to 660 pounds.
