Canon launches new ultrasound product line

Canon Medical Systems USA used the venue of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) annual meeting held in Orlando this month to introduce the Aplio a-series, a new line of economically priced ultrasound systems with premium features. The new ultrasound product line, comprised of the a550 and a450, is designed to provide high performance for multiple clinical uses..

Features of the a-series product line include: high-end image quality to seamlessly integrates into workflow for a wide range of everyday imaging needs, including high-resolution 2D imaging and volumetric ultrasound. A wide range of qualitative and quantitative tools using iSense technology enables easy operation and more objective, reproducible results, according to Canon. iSMI and Differential Tissue Harmonics are available on the Aplio a550.
